We have been given some presentations and reading which relate to being a professional teacher generally. This is the concern of professional studies: how to be a teacher, as distinguished from being a teacher of a particular subject. In these sessions, there are no discussions of the best way to teach Spanish grammar or "while loops" in Python. Such specific subject issues are dealt with in areas outside of Professional Studies. The concern of professional studies is a study of the profession of teaching, including how teachers looks after students and manage to help the learn things.

"Meta" means beyond, or above. Aristotle's Metaphysics (his book) is so-named because it came after his book Physics. Cognition is the process of coming to know, particularly through thinking. Metacongnition is thinking about thinking. It involves stepping back and moving to a higher leve.

How do you create a miniature lanyard to go around your neck? It is a small card that fits inside your access card holder.
What is the most effective way of doing this? There has to be a better way than simply trial-and-error. The way I did it first was by screenshotting the timetable on Google Sheets, pasting the image into Word, and then printing it off. You then manually test it. If it fits into the ID card holder, then well done. If it is too large, make the image on Word slightly smaller.
The process of printing, testing, and readusting repeats. When you need to print a new version, you repeat the process. Surely there is a better way.
