Mindjoy notes. It is a session I am sitting in on, on 7th November 2025. MCO is delivering the session. MCO goes over the aims of the session. He's going to have a tutor in each classroom. Initially, have a broad tutor. Aims:
We watch a video from Cat. Tutorial: Click "New Pathway" and a dialogue box opens.
Give a name to the pathway. There is the option underneath to put a small description in.
"PATHWAY is the object that can be assigned", Cat tells us.
The main thing to pay attention to is the order of classes in the pathway.
MCO explains: lessons sit inside of pathways.
(MCO summarises the content, after it has been presented.) Kat demonstrates uploading a textbook chapter.
It is on communciation and talks about bit rate and latency.
MCO advises that it could be a PDF of a lesson you have just taught. It could be a section from an exam paper.

Kat shows that you have options in a list: EXPLAIN, PRACTICE, ASSESS.
Kat gives an example of how MindJoy goes through and creates questions for every few paragraphs in the textbook.
In the top righthand corner is a preview button, which will show you what the students are doing.
Cat says "I haven't added a tutor yet, so I'm going to add a tutor".
A tutor is added to the PATHWAY. Now, there is a pane on the righthand side.
The speaker clicks on "Add lesson" and this time adds a HOMEWORK, rather than an ASSESS.
MindJoy was cofounded by Gabi Immelman, Pieter Heyns, and Ethan Marrs. The company was probably founded in 2021. The current entity, Mindjoy Ltd, appears to have been incorporated in the UK on January 15th 2025.
Kat Morgan talks about uploading a whole past paper.
This is a good feature because students can be told which questions they struggled with in the past paper.
Kat Morgan demonstrates typing in different instructions. "This is the power of that advanced mode"
MCO explains that the feature he is excited about is the ability to give feedback on exam paper that pupils have completed.
In the run up to mocks, pupils may have in a number of 13-mark questions, and the teacher is to give feedback on it.
Mindjoy will make this sort of thing much easier.
